How to Tackle the Most Common Household Stains:

The Ultimate Guide

Stains happen—but that doesn’t mean you have to live with them! Whether it’s a wine spill, grease stain, or pet accident, here’s your ultimate guide to tackling the most common household stains with ease:

  1. Red Wine Stains
Blot the stain immediately with a paper towel or cloth. Sprinkle salt on the stain to absorb the liquid, then gently scrub with a mixture of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide.
  2. Grease Stains
Apply cornstarch or baking soda to the grease spot and let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the oil. Then, wash the fabric with warm water and a strong detergent.
  3. Coffee or Tea Stains
Mix equal parts vinegar and water and blot the stain until it lifts. For stubborn stains, try a paste of baking soda and water before washing.
  4. Ink Stains
Dab the stain with rubbing alcohol using a clean cloth. Blot the area until the ink is absorbed, then wash with your usual laundry detergent.
  5. Pet Urine Stains
Blot up as much urine as possible, then sprinkle baking soda on the stain. Let it sit, and then vacuum it up. For extra odor removal, use a vinegar and water mixture before washing.
  6. Blood Stains
Rinse the stained area with cold water as soon as possible. Then, soak the fabric in a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and dish soap. Scrub gently, rinse, and wash as usual.
  7. Mud Stains
Let the mud dry before brushing off excess. Pre-treat with laundry detergent, and wash as usual.

With these stain-fighting techniques, you can handle anything life throws your way, ensuring a clean home every time!
